You need balance for a lot of things. Without balance, the place will be in chaos. And photography is no different. Balance is not just putting things at equality, it depends on what you are trying to do. If you want a more surreal image, you need to balance the edits. Same goes for more colorful photos or black and white photos.
The balance in this picture is how it is going to the right from the left. It has just the right amount of things in it for the effect I wanted this image to give.
The balance shown here is how the car or tractor is right in the middle of the picture. Thing is though that the car is the only thing colored. Everything else is in black and white which brings eyes towards the subject of this image. Just the right amount of balance.
